With gas prices on the rise, people still want to take a summer vacation, but they're tending to do so "closer to home." Kingdom Bound Christian music festival is ideally located as a great "one tank getaway" for people in the Northeastern USA and Southeastern Canada. Thousands of people from New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Ontario, Quebec, and New England come together at Kingdom Bound each year for a spiritually refreshing time- why not join them?
Kingdom Bound is coming up August 3-6, 2008, at Darien Lake Theme Park Resort in Darien Center, New York, halfway between Buffalo and Rochester. It's a great family vacation that combines faith and fun at an amusement park with lots of coasters and a refreshing water park, too! If you do the math, you get to see about 40 concerts and speakers for $2.50 each (now that's a good deal) AND you get to ride a lot of amusement park rides in four days!
NEW this year at Kingdom Bound:
* Garbonics® is a skit or play that contains some or all of the following: Human Video, Dance, Drama, Short Movies, Sound Effects using miscellaneous trash to make music, Large Sets, Theatrical lighting, Special Effects, and Sound.
* WORSHIP ARTS TECHNOLOGY TENT “For Worship Musicians and Technicians” featuring representatives from Yamaha, Shure Microphones, Martin Lighting and others. The purpose of this venue is to provide hands-on training for bands and tech teams. Clinics from Lincoln Brewster, Paul Baloche and Matt Maher will be offered during the festival.
* Rollercoaster enthusiasts will want to check out the brand new Orange County Choppers MotoCoaster. If you like rollercoasters, Darien Lake also has the Boomerang (you'll go backwards and forwards), the Mind Eraser (the only suspended looping coaster in New York State), the Predator (the tallest wooden coaster in New York State), the Viper (the first coaster in the world to turn people upside down 5 times), and the infamous Ride of Steel (climbing to 208 feet and reaching speeds over 70MPH).
Don't delay in getting your KB tickets-- call 800-461-4485 today. There are still good on-grounds accomodation packages available, and, as always, commuter tickets are available-- they never sell out--it's a huge park!
